The Contracts and Compliance Specialist will support the CSD Legal, Compliance, and Boards department in ensuring that CSD adheres to legal guidelines, regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies. This position prepares, reviews, maintains, and archives legal and compliance documents, coordinates team and company-wide functions and workflows, and assists in the monitoring of compliance controls, procedures, and policies. The Contracts and Compliance Specialist will be confident, professional, and self-motivated with a keen interest in the ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of CSD.
Leads contract management initiatives, including organizing documents, conducting comprehensive reviews of contracts, identifying and interpreting complex terms and requirements, setting strategic reminders, and maintaining accurate records and documentation within CSD’s contracts management system, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
Manages and optimizes the legal request workflow system, independently supporting and conducting training sessions for CSD users on system utilization, soliciting and integrating feedback from stakeholders, collaborating with IT to strategically implement system enhancements, and generating and analyzing regular reports to provide insights and recommendations on request volume, departmental data, and other key metrics
Oversees technical and administrative aspects of CSD’s contracts and compliance management system, proactively supporting changes in system configurations, independently resolving complex user queries, developing strategic resources (e.g., guides and training) to enhance user adoption and engagement, and leading the design, implementation, and onboarding of new applications on the platform
Supports contract lifecycle by routing contracts through CSD’s e-signature platform and tracking contract extensions or renewals to completion
Develops and distributes comprehensive compliance reports, utilizing independent judgment to analyze and interpret compliance data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management
Coordinates and oversees organization-wide functions and workflows within the Legal and Compliance team, exercising independent judgment to streamline processes, resolve cross-departmental issues, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards
Supports Legal and Compliance internal communications, including oversight of shared email inboxes
Conducts research on legal and compliance topics to support responses to internal issues or the development of training resources
Assists with compliance review of new service lines and programs
Assists the Vice President of Contracts and Compliance with preparing compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information
Supports the Vice President of Contracts and Compliance with the continued maintenance of CSD’s compliance risk management plan
Oversees CSD and its subsidiaries’ business registrations, ensuring compliance by submitting periodical reports and managing registered agent service providers
Manages CSD’s compliance vendors to ensure CSD’s compliance obligations are met in a timely manner

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of one year of professional experience in compliance, contracts, audits, database management, or process improvement or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language (PREFERRED)
