Job Description:
Multiple Teacher Openings
Position: Full-time Teacher(s)
Duration: 192 days per school year
Location: Oregon School for the Deaf, Salem, Oregon

Compensation:

Salary: $55,944 - $100,992 (based on education and experience)

Cost of Living Adjustment: 6.55% effective January 1, 2025

Differentials:

Special Education: 5% above base rate

ASL Bilingual: 5% above base rate

Application Deadline: Open until filled. Applications reviewed biweekly
starting July 15, 2024.

Teaching Positions Available:

Elementary Teacher (2 positions)

Middle School/ASL Teacher

Additional positions may be updated as needed.

Minimum and Special Qualifications:

License: Oregon Teaching License/Certificate for teaching
deaf/hard-of-hearing students, or the ability to obtain it by the start date.
Out-of-state candidates may be eligible for emergency licensure. Contact
Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission.

ASL Proficiency: ASLPI Level 3 or SLPI:ASL Intermediate or better upon hire,
with certification required within 12 weeks of the start date.
