Morat Gaming LLC seeks a contractor to rewire off-the-shelf haptic gaming vests, our initial testing platform, to receive input from external XLR or ¼” TRS signals. Basic testing, labeling, and provision of technical data discovered are important parts of the work.
(1) Rewire three (3) off-the-shelf haptic gaming vests, 32- or 40-actuator model, to receive analog signal from 32/40 XLR or ¼” TRS input jacks and provide the output to the actuators within max/min load limits. Label actuator locations on each vest, and each input jack (female) accordingly. Rewiring may involve manipulating, altering, or bypassing (cutting) the existing onboard signal control unit.
(2) Deliver technical information on the alterations, such that a later engineer can reproduce the work performed.
Additional information and goals of the work:
The primary concern is to ensure that each independent signal reaches the appropriate actuator and causes it to operate within but close to the maximum range of haptic signal output.
The secondary concern is to ensure minimal signal lag and “noise” within the system.
Weight, aesthetics, and the like are NOT concerns.
