Exhibits
The staff of the RIT/NTID Joseph F. and Helen C. Dyer Arts Center endeavors to show works by Deaf artists (including those who identify as DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened). The exhibition schedule is usually determined up to two years in advance, especially for the larger Williams Gallery.
You are welcome to submit a proposal to exhibit at any time. Please fill out the proposal form and email us at dyerartscenter@rit.edu if you have any questions about the form itself.
Nancy Rourke and David Call, two longstanding lights of American Deaf art, are showing their work in a joint exhibition in the Dyer Arts Center! Come any time during opening hours between January 17th and February 22nd, 2020, to see their work.
There also will be a reception on February 14th, which will provide special opportunities to meet the artists and discuss their work.
The annual De'VIA Challenge, in which artists around the world are challenged to create one work of Deaf art every day for the month of February, often produces beautiful works of art. However, because the challenge is conducted online, we are pleased to present the world's only physical location in which works by participating artists can be appreciated in person! Come to our Glass Gallery and see the best new works De'VIA has to offer!
Artists can submit up to 2 6x6 artworks, each artwork requires a separate submission form.
Featuring selections of artworks by artists of color from the Dyer Arts Center's permanent collection
Featuring Deaf Artists of Color.
