Work Responsibilities
I wrote and created 15 to 30 second commercials for the television station about non- profit local events around the Watertown area.I used my computer skills in Adobe a lot. With my experience in Photoshop and non linear editing, I was able to step right in and produce multiple commercials. I did one for Clayton Country Jam, Fireworks in the Park and Fort Drum Petition among others. I worked hard and learned quickly and got some experience with one of the station’s High Definition broadcast field cameras. I always did my best and was positive.
How my career relates to my degree from RIT/NTID
The skills I developed in my computer animation, videography, image manipulation, and typography courses really played a big role in my co-op. And, I had some amazing teachers who inspired me to improve my work and to be willing always to learn more. I see my degree as a stepping stone to my future. I still have a lot more learning to do, but one thing for sure, on co-op, I found something I truly love doing.
