Work Responsibilities
I worked with three other interns on an outreach project for the deaf community to help improve access to health care and raise the level of cancer education. I edited video footage about cancer awareness and used Adobe Illustrator CS6 along with Final Cut Pro to create graphics of the human body including the organs relating to cancer, to insert in a video when it goes on the website.
How my career relates to my degree from RIT/NTID
I really learned more about the relationship between photography and film and about the art of merging still pictures and vivid movement. I also was able to use a variety of the art skills I've learned at RIT and saw how they could blend to create a vision that can produce a stunning print publication.
Advice
Always remember not to adopt the "sit down and be an isolated co-worker" role. Teamwork is always the better choice — that and a positive outlook can take you farther in life.
