Why did you decide to attend Saunders College of Business at RIT?
While RIT is a large institution, Saunders College of Business's size was attractive to me. Knowing that I was a student on a campus of over 15,000 students was very exciting, but what was most comforting about Saunders was that I knew I would always have a close-knit community of people who cared about my future to support me! Besides the fantastic education opportunities that Saunders presented, the college quickly has one of the most welcoming communities of people I've ever met. I have met my best friends in college through classes and student organizations in Saunders and excellent faculty and staff that always present opportunities to assist with my personal growth and job opportunities!
What's great about your co-op?
I've always enjoyed working in teams, but my co-op experience truly enhanced my understanding of why collaboration is essential. While juggling many different projects and tasks, my co-op taught me that you must communicate with teammates and coworkers to best work together and accomplish great things! The company's culture was very warm and welcoming, and I always felt comfortable volunteering to take on new projects and learn new things as I worked.
In what ways has Saunders/RIT prepared you for the job market?
Saunders has taught me continually to stay curious and excited to learn. Whether through opportunities that have been presented to me throughout my time in the college or the exciting people I have been able to meet while being on campus, the chances that arise to try new things cease to slow down! Saunders has taught me to take risks, never feel uncomfortable trying new things, and put myself in a situation that may be new to me. After I graduate, I'm excited to continue my interest in learning from those around me and taking advantage of all the opportunities I have to try new things in the workplace and life."
