"Roaring 20(20)'s: What can be expected in the post-pandemic labor market?"

22nd Career Education Days at RIT Croatia

The 22nd Career Education Days (CED) were held from March 22-25, 2022 at RIT Croatia's campuses in Dubrovnik and Zagreb, and the main topic was "Roaring 20(20)'s: What can be expected in the post-pandemic labor market?"

This was the first hybrid CED event, with online panel discussions, workshops and interviews combined with live events where students had the chance to meet some of the company representatives. The underlying topic of this year's CED was chosen with the goal to bring together experienced individuals from the industry and students, especially graduates, who are about to enter the post-pandemic labor market. Students had the chance to learn firsthand what the labor market looks like in 2022, and what is to be expected in the near future. They've also showcased skills and knowledge gained while studying at RIT Croatia by participating in numerous job interviews and networking with company representatives.

This year's Career Education Days were marked by:

• 145 companies from 13 countries participating in CED 2022,
• 261 open positions for student co-ops (internships),
• 53 RIT Croatia Alumni taking part at the event as company representatives,
• 47 various activities throughout 4 days of the event!

In this academic year RIT Croatia is also marking an important milestone - 25^th anniversary of operating in Croatia! In order to further celebrate our anniversary, we've honored exceptional cooperation and performance by handing out 25 awards to companies, alumni, faculty members and students.

There were five categories of awards and the winners are:

• Frequent Flyer Recognition - Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, Bit4bytes, CROZ, Laus CC, Fortenova grupa d.d., Nestle, Villa Dubrovnik d.d..
• Industry Teacher Recognition - Valamar Riviera d.d., Heritage Hotel Fermai, Async Labs, Livia Reljić, JAMNICA plus d.o.o., Marina Jurić, Top Digital Agency.
• Breakout Stars Recognition - Maslina Resort, Q agency, Ingemark, TalentLyft.
• Experiential Learning Ambassador - Andrej Šarić, Kevin Walker, Vanja Vejzagić.
• Exceptional Student Co-op Performance - Teodora Grozdanić, Tomas Martinčić, Dino Muharemagić, Ivica Mesaroš.

Students are at the center of education offered at RIT Croatia, as well as the quality of their studying experience and adequate preparation for the job market. The fact that 87% of the graduating generation 2021 have found employment within 6 months from graduation shows that we do our job well.
