CED 2023 gathers more than 1,000 participants from 12 countries
The topic of 23rd Career Education Days was "Technology and the future of work: Which way will we go?”
23rd Career Education Days took place on our campuses last week from Wednesday, March 15 – Friday March 17. With the topic of "Technology and the future of work: Which way will we go?” the first two days took place online in form of various panels, workshops and presentations. The last day was organized as a live event on both campuses enabling students to network with employers.
This year’s Career Education Days were marked by:
- Companies for all four programs participating: 126
- Companies participating for the first time: 35
- Company representatives: 252
- Countries (12): Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, United Kingdom, USA
- Alumni participating: 31
- Activities organized during three days: 44
- Volunteers: 25
"We use Career Education Days event to also reflect on the year behind us and recognize exceptional cooperation and performance of our partners / companies, faculty members and students,” said Petra Vodopija Borković, Career Services, Alumni Relations and International Student Office Manager at RIT Croatia. The winners of CED 2023 awards are:
Corporate Partners Award
Corporate partners awards includes two categories. The first one (Frequent Flyers) relates to partners participating in various activities, from guest lectures, workshops, projects, Career Education Day activities to offering coop opportunities to our students and full time employment to our graduates. The second one (Industry Teachers) includes partners who continuously contribute in experience and knowledge sharing with our students (workshops, case-studies, lectures or projects):
- Frequent Flyers 2023: Adriatic Luxury Hotels, Cinnamon Agency, Mazars, mStart plus, and Studenac d.o.o.
- Industry Teachers 2023: Ambacia, Maistra d.d., and Orbico d.o.o.
Faculty Award
Faculty that students nominate to be their go-to person for career advice, who contributed to their career development, connected them with their coop employer, gave them insight into the industry they are interested in, or supported experiential learning opportunities in cooperation with Career Services Office and independently through different class activities:
- Experiential Learning Ambassadors 2023: dr. sc. Besim Agušaj, dr. sc. Vanja Vejzagić, and dr. sc. Martin Žagar
Student Award
We recognize students who go above and beyond during their internships and cooperative education. This award is presented to students nominated by their summer co-op mentors and co-op supervisors.
