The end of las week had a special meaning for RIT Croatia as we said goodbye to over 100 graduates at Dubrovnik and Zagreb campuses. The first ceremony took place in Zagreb on May 27, 2016 in hotel Westin, while the second ceremony took place in Dubrovnik, May 28, 2016 in Hotel Rixos Libertas. Numerous family members, friends, and members of the RIT Croatia community gathered at both venues to join this celebration of success of graduates from the following undergraduate programs: International Business, International Hospitality and Service Management, and Information Technology. In addition to our undergraduates, another generation of Master of Science in Service Leadership and Innovation program has also received their Master degrees. Many dignitaries have had the honor of congratulating our graduates with motivating words of encouragement:

  • Dr. Jeremy Haefner, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at RIT
  • Mr. Izet Ždralović, RIT Croatia graduate, Vice President & co-founder at MicroBLINK
  • Ms. Nina Mimica, President of the RIT Croatia Alumni Society

Đina Lujak, graduating student representative of Dubrovnik campus and Tatjana Grubišić, student representative of Zagreb campus gave especially moving speeches about the knowledge, experience and friendships gained within four years of studying.
President and Dean of RIT Croatia, Mr. Don Hudspeth, wished all the best to our graduates and invited them to keep returning to RIT Croatia to continue their education, or as guest speakers, or even some day potentially as professors. He emphasized that the connection with RIT Croatia does not stop with graduation and said "we share the feeling of happiness and pride with you on this important day. This day represents the peak of our joint efforts in creating capable, young people and it is with pride that we can say that RIT Croatia graduates embody our vision. Many of them established very successful careers, and are holding high positions in many internationals and domestic companies".
Dr. Destler addressed the graduates and stated "To the class of 2016 - I am honored and pleased to be with you today to celebrate this wonderful occasion with you, your family and your friends. As you leave for your future endeavors, remember that your relationship with RIT Croatia and Rochester Institute of Technology will continue. You are now a member of the more than 118,000 RIT alumni who live and work throughout the world. We share your anticipation of the opportunities that await you. You will, of course, face challenges in the years ahead, and I believe RIT has prepared you well to face them".
