First Shark Tank competition held at the Dubrovnik campus

Organized by Career Office as a part of career preparation month and proudly sponsored by Eta Sigma Delta honorary society, the first Shark Tank competition was held at the Dubrovnik campus on February 19.

All interested students, regardless of the program of study, could apply for this competition with a pretty straightforward task assigned: in a team of two they were to deliver a two minute elevator speech pitching the idea of opening a high-end bakery/pastry cafe under the bridge in Dubrovnik. The emphasis was not so much on the business concept but on the speech delivery. The teams presented in front of the following judges: prof. Milena Kužnin, Mr. Mario Matković, GM of Hotel Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and prof. Kevin Walker.

After all teams presented their pitches, the judges provided them with feedback on their performance and declared winners that were awarded with vouchers sponsored by Eta Sigma Delta honorary society. And the winning teams are:

• 1^st place: Petra Knežević & Dejana Kušić (1.000,00 kn)
• 2^nd place: Petra Vuletić & Jelena Benić (600,00 kn)
• 3^rd place: Krunoslav Curić & Orsat Mladošić (400,00 kn)
