Guest lecture on "Communication and Tourism: The Tourist Gaze and Creating an Image of Dubrovnik" delivered by professor Grant Cos from RIT's College of Liberal Arts

As a part of Cultural Heritage class, taught by professor Francis Brassard, students had the chance to listen to a lecture delivered by professor Grant Cos from RIT's Rochester campus. Professor Cos is the Director of Journalism program at the School of Communication, College of Liberal Arts. The topic of his lecture was "Communication and Tourism: The Tourist Gaze and Creating an Image of Dubrovnik." Professor Cos talked about how the Eurovision song contest has influenced the ways some countries have advertised themselves as tourist destinations with special emphasis on the case of Dubrovnik as a set for the Games of Thrones.
