Important: Spring Semester Classes Starting Monday, January 18th

January 12, 2021

Dear RIT Croatia Students,

First of all, let me wish you a peaceful, healthy and fulfilling 2021. I hope you and your families are well, and safe.

We continue to monitor the overall situation in Croatia on a daily basis, as well as review all recommendations from the Croatian Ministry of Education and Science, the Croatian Public Health Institute, and other relevant authorities, and following assessment, I wanted to inform you that our spring semester classes will begin on Monday, January 18th, 2021, as planned and communicated in December.

Courses will be delivered in the scheduled combination of in-person, blended and online modes, as per your weekly class schedule showing in SIS. You can find the academic calendar previously sent to you in December, which reflects our Monday, January 18th, spring semester start at this LINK.

Also, I would like to share with you an updated copy of the RIT Croatia Safety Plan that can be accessed via this LINK. We are remaining at Yellow Alert Level, like we were at the end of the fall semester.

As well, please stay in touch with our staff for COVID related matters. If you test positive, or feel any COVID-related symptoms, or are not able to attend classes on campus due to quarantine, please advise Ms. Draženka Franić in the Dubrovnik campus (drazenka.franic@croatia.rit.edu) or Ms. Ana Maria Šimundić in the Zagreb campus (anamaria.simundic@croatia.rit.edu).

Our campuses are open this week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-16:00, and our staff members are available for your questions, regardless of them being on campus, or working from home. For any questions relating to your spring classes, please do not hesitate to contact your academic advisors.

If there are any changes in the recommendations and/or measures from the Croatian authorities, which could impact our plans for the spring semester, we will advise you immediately, so please be sure to regularly check your emails this week, and going forward.

I wish you a successful spring semester, and if you have any questions, please let me know.

Sincerely, Dean Hudspeth

President & Dean
