The total of 40 students from the campuses in the US and Croatia are working together with their mentors, industry professionals, as well as their peers to create and deliver a memorable event. Students are grouped in committees working on all event management areas.

Currently the students of RIT Croatia are working side by side with the staff of Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik in organizing the event. Furthermore, RIT Croatia Alumnus Mr. Marko Sekulić, Director of Business Development of Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, who has been given the Honorary Chair position that includes mentoring and guiding students from the perspective of an industry professional. Mr. Sekulić has earned this exceptional honor with his outstanding professional achievement in hospitality profession.

"What a fantastic initiative, bringing RITz event to Dubrovnik, Croatia. It has already been 20 years since RIT Croatia (well, I know it as American College of Management and Technology) first opened doors to its students and led them on their journey of knowledge. There cannot be a better occasion for alumni to get together and celebrate, meet old friends and catch up on things." says Marko Sekulić.

One of the most important roles in the project belongs to Domagoj Nikolić, M. Sc. who works as a Lecturer & Erasmus Coordinator at RIT Croatia. Except for teaching the Event Management course, he also mentors and instructs students how to successfully conduct this event.

"The RITz dinner event, how we are staging it this year, is trailblazing the path of future education. It is delivered in our Global Classroom which includes RIT students from both sides of the Atlantic, Dubrovnik and Rochester. The learning is fully experiential because the students are given real professional tasks and involved in real life situations, and thus are stepping out of the secure classroom environment. Dynamic, high powered and at times stressful, this type of learning is the best professional character building students can get anywhere." claims Nikolić.
