RIT Croatia annual Charity Auction 2021/2022

As December rolls around and our faculty staff and students are getting ready to wrap up another (successful!) semester, our Student Government brings the annual Charity Auction to the whole RIT Croatia community. This event is near and dear to us all, one which brings us all together and shows the spirit of our community as we raise money for those in need. A tradition spanning over 20 years has lived on even in these difficult times, simply in a transformed format through the Silent and Live Auctions held online as a joint event of both Dubrovnik and Zagreb campuses.

This year, we will be donating the funds to the "Mladi Protiv Gladi" organization from Vinkovci. The aim of the auction is to raise funds for socially disadvantaged families.

The concept of the event is:

• From November 29 - December 3 a silent auction will be taking place, and our community will have a chance to bid on various items that will be auctioned through the platform.
• On Friday, December 3rd there will be a "live" event (via Zoom) where exclusive items will be auctioned and an entertainment segment to wrap it up.

During this time, we hope to raise money for this great cause, but above all, we wish to raise awareness about people suffering from having basic daily needs like food and hygiene supplies. To help us do that, we invite everyone in our community to join us in the next couple of weeks to contribute to this important issue.

How can you support the event?

• By participating in the silent auction and the one hour "live" event
• By donating items - you can do so, starting today by leaving your donation in the donation box near the reception.
