From RIT Croatia to Global Tiger – Otto’s Remarkable Journey in IT & Analytics

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Web and Mobile Computing at RIT Croatia, Otto Goldschmidt pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology & Analytics. He started his Master of Science program at RIT Croatia and completed it at RIT's main campus in Rochester, NY as a Global Scholar.

Otto initially entered RIT's main campus as a participant in the Cyber VSR research program. Working alongside Professor Tae Oh, their collaborative efforts focused on identifying malware within APK files. Otto's exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication significantly contributed to the development of an effective malware detection system.

In his second year of the Master of Science program, Otto's exceptional academic performance earned him the prestigious distinction of being selected as a Global Scholar. Presently, Otto is gaining invaluable experience as a network engineer through a work-study position in the Rochester Institute of Technology ITS department.

Otto's relentless efforts and commitment have paid off, culminating in his graduation this May. Furthermore, his exceptional leadership skills have been recognized as he has been chosen as the graduate delegate representing the School of Information at RIT's commencement ceremony—an outstanding accomplishment for Otto.

This May, Otto will start the next phase of his career journey as a Software Engineer at Drexel University. In this role, Otto will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the core enterprise functions through the application of sound technology and business practice solutions! Hard work always pays off!
