The 19th Commencement Ceremony was held in Dubrovnik on May 26, 2017, where another generation of successful graduates from the International Hospitality and Service Management program and Information Technology program received their Bachelor of Science degrees. This ceremony had a special meaning as it marked the 20th anniversary of RIT Croatia. On that note, numerous honorary guests from RIT and local government were present to support this important milestone. During the course of the program, Dr. Radovan Fuchs, a distinguished member of RIT Croatia's Board of Trustees and a supporter of RIT's presence in Croatia since the beginning of negotiation with RIT in 1994, was presented with
an honorary doctoral degree from RIT.

The 3rd Commencement Ceremony in Zagreb was held on May 27, 2017 where we have had the honor of presenting degrees to graduates from the International Business and Information Technology programs. In a festive and dignified atmosphere, the graduates were addressed by Mr. Nenad Bakić, a Croatian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, who is currently focused on digital transformation in education. He is the founder of IRIM, the leading organization in introducing STEM education in the region. He is also a special advisor to the President of Croatia for Digital Transformation and STEM.

Another important event has marked both ceremonies in Dubrovnik and Zagreb, as this was the last year that Dr. Destler, President of RIT, is participating in RIT Croatia's commencement ceremonies due to his retirement. RIT Croatia is immensely grateful for all the support Dr. Destler has provided during the 10 years of his presiding at RIT.

Mia Kun, the Valedictorian of the class of 2017 held an emotional speech addressing her fellow graduates from Dubrovnik campus, and Petra Očinić, the Valedictorian of the Zagreb class of 2017 held a memorable speech for Zagreb graduates.
