RIT Croatia students to present their work on the upcoming Imagine RIT Festival!

Each year RIT organizes its signature event Imagine RIT at the main campus. Designed to celebrate the creativity and innovation spirit of RIT students, faculty and staff, each year the main campus opens its door to tens of thousands of visitors

In order to add projects and work from global campuses to this event, RIT has organized Imagine RIT Global Competition, and has received 22 applications from global campuses. A jury comprising of faculty members from global campuses has selected the following three as the best:

• Digital Weaving, RIT Kosovo
• Race to Victory: 4x4 Technology Challenge, RIT Dubai
• agRITourism, RIT Croatia

Students and faculty members working on this project will travel to Rochester and participate at the Imagine RIT event on April 29.

AgRITourism is a project by International Business program students Mia Ivančić, Marta Primorac, and Tara Rakočević based on the research and work of Marta Primorac for the Honors Program. Students were mentored by dr. sc. Kristina Šorić. Their exhibit will present an agri-food tourism supply chain focusing on local small family farms producing organic products, and local small restaurants and hotels. Students will use a "Farm Game", as a variation of very popular MIT Boston’s Beer Game, to simulate the supply chain, only instead of beer, they will use plush toys in the form of fruits, vegetables and cheese. Students will include the visitors in the game to present and explain all the processes and operations and supply chain management strategies that can be used for optimization.

AgRITourism is not the only project submitted for application for this competition. The complete list of all projects submitted from Croatia, as follows:
