Students organize RIT Croatia annual charity auction - online!

December is always quite special at RIT Croatia; not only are Fall semester classes ending (which is followed by the final exams, but that's another story), but our community uses this time to celebrate the holidays in a special way. This is the time when our students organize a charity auction with the aim of raising funds and donating to those who need help and they have been doing that for 20 years!!

This year has brought about many challenges for us all, but it did not affect our spirit of giving to those in need. Our Student Government is organizing this year's Charity Auction in a different format (online). The students have selected Sve za Nju (All for Her) association that supports female oncological patients and their families through their illness and beyond for all proceeds to go to.

This is the concept of this year's Charity auction:

• In the week of November 30 - December 4 there will be an online silent auction taking place where various items will be auctioned and you will be able to bid for any item of interest. The link to the auction on AirAuctioneer (the silent auction platform) will be sent to our community via e-mail, soon. Once you receive it, please watch the video tutorial on how to access the auction platform.
• On Friday December 4 at 8:00 pm, there will be a one hour online event (via Zoom) where top items will be auctioned, and the representatives from the association will be present and there will be entertainment to wrap it up. More information about this will be sent to our community via e-mail.

How can our community (students, faculty, staff, and alumni) support the event?

• By participating in the silent auction as well as the one hour online auction event
• By donating items (you can do so virtually (send us a photo of your donation) and we will include them in the silent auction and then work out details about picking up the item from you.
