    Josh Quick, a fifth-year industrial and systems engineering major, races RIT's Mini Baja car at the South African Mini Baja, Oct. 26-27. RIT captured first place in its division and was the only team from the United States in the competition. More than a dozen schools and 25 cars competed in the event, hosted by the University of Pretoria.

    RIT student William Love, president of the Management Information Systems Student Team (MISST), raises money for the March of Dimes by selling paper pumpkins for $1 each during a MISST bake sale Oct. 23 in the College of Business. The pumpkins will be displayed at the Starbucks on Jefferson Road. The fundraiser continues next Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Hood was among 17 RIT students that traveled to Cuba earlier this year to take part in a week-long photo assignment. More than 60 images from that trip will be on display at Gallery r, 775 Park Avenue, through Oct. 21.
