Job Information
The digital media intern will assist the Development Team by producing and editing videos for events, advocacy, and program teams.
Depending on the needs of the Center for Disability Rights, and the digital media intern’s background, other projects may include:
• Create and update graphic design materials for different departments
• Designing flyers, posters, push cards, invitations, social media graphics, programs, brochures, ads, mailers, and/or other projects
• Photograph work-related events and/or conduct photo shoots as requested
• Edit photos and write descriptive captions for photos
Depending on the successful candidate’s availability, this position can be either onsite, or a combination of onsite and remote. We anticipate at least some hours will be required onsite for filming new content. A stipend (amount TBD) will be provided.
Skills:
• Video creating and editing experience required (i.e. Adobe Premier, After Effects, closed captioning)
• Microsoft Office (i.e.: PowerPoint, Word, Publisher) required
• Visual design experience (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or photography experience helpful, but not required for this internship
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a degree , or significant coursework, in New Media Design, Design and Imaging Technology, Film, or related field
• Knowledge of digital media formats including video, audio, and interactive media
• Have access to personal laptop and Adobe required
• Up-to-date on best practices and new technologies
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, prioritizing, and problem solving skills
