Executive Director - 30 hours weekly/$60,000

The Executive Director will report directly to and work closely with the Board of Directors (BOD) to oversee ODSC’s administration, programs, and strategic plan.

Duties will possibly include:
Development/Finances:
• Grant research, writing and reporting, and work closely with grant writers
• Pursue contracts with government agencies
• Oversee annual budget development and all contracts and obligations with BOD oversight
• Manage monthly billings and bookkeeping with bookkeeper
• Participate in and assist BOD with fundraising campaigns and events

Administration/Programs:
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise all new, current and future staff
• Maintain/update employment policies
• Develop/implement strategic planning
• Coordinate annual program planning and oversee progress through regular staff meetings
• Collaborate with statewide/local SA/DV organizations, supporters, community members, and participants
• Promote ODSC’s services on a local, state and national level

Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor level degree or higher
• Basic knowledge of SV/DV
• Management/Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years
• Strong management skills:
o planning, delegation, time management and budget (preparation, analysis, decision‐making, reporting)
• Talent/experience in:
o grant writing, corporate support/major gift solicitation, fundraising, business development
o Marketing and public relations skills
o Working with a culturally diverse clientele and staff
o Strategic planning and implementation
• Proficient American Sign Language (ASL) and English skills
o Ability to communicate with and understand Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened, Deaf Plus clients and their culture
• Computer and MS Office skills
• Moderate travel may be required
