SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Administrative Assistant directly aides the Executive Director and Interpreting Departments as well as providing assistance with staff projects and general office support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a welcoming front door reception area.
• Answer video calls, provide basic information about services and triage calls for staff.
• Provide confidential clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director and Director.
• Assist DAS staff with various project (typing surveys, …)
• Pick up mail for office. Process and send outgoing mail.
• Purchase supplies for staff.
• Ensure office is clean and organized, making coffee, watering plants, ensuring toner, ink and paper are fully stocked in devices.
• Schedule DAS related interpreting requests in the Boostlingo system.
• Intake and data entry.
• Communicate with Tri main management about repairs and work orders.
• Follow up on customer requests for information.
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree from a two year or technical school, or related educational background plus one to two years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluent in American Sign Language
• Knowledge of Deaf culture or desire to learn.
• Excellence written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• General Computer knowledge/competency in MS Office, Word and Outlook.
• Sensitivity to confidential nature of client and agency including financial and employee related information.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
