Resident staff are:
Mentors for successful college experiences for the high school students
Assistants to instructors and other SA-DHH staff
An essential ingredient to the student’s personal growth and development
Patient, flexible, adaptable, and compassionate

Essential duties:
Ability to communicate using sign language is highly preferred, in addition to being able to use either spoken English or written English, or both.
Ability to relate to students and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Summer Academy staff in a professional and productive manner, including maintaining proper professional boundaries during the Summer Academy.
Ability to coordinate and implement planned activities.
Ability to travel independently while performing all job duties. (No car required.)
Ability to independently complete all assignments, responsibilities and duties listed above.
