The Proposal & Project Manager, Program Impact (PI,) is responsible for proactively managing, organizing, developing, and delivering proposals and projects. The proposals will be generated for external clients, including deaf-owned/lead organizations, corporations, and federal, state, and local government entities seeking services from Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD). The scope of project managementresponsibilitiess includes delivering services outlined in CSD’s contracts with external clients and CSD’s internal projects.

The Proposal & Project Manager, PI leads cross-functional proposals, ensuring the proposals are properly defined and scoped, project costs and schedules are estimated, milestones are identified, and staffing resources are identified and allocated within established expectations.

The Proposal & Project Manager, PI, will coordinate project activities, including internal and external resource allocations, project planning, analysis and definition of requirements, design, development, verification, documentation, and delivery of requested products and services in a timely manner.

Ability to analyze external customer business requests, grants, RFPs and funding requirements. Identify opportunities that match organizational needs and capacities and generate excellent proposal responses
Ability to use various project management methodologies such as agile, hybrid and waterfall
Possesses excellent skills in judgment, leadership, and communication
Able to build and maintain working relationships with many different cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to be concise, and strong instincts on how to communicate and present information most effectively with partners / requestors
Strong financial and analytical capabilities combined with solid strategic thinking, and an eye for detail
Ability to navigate considerable ambiguity; asking questions in a partnership-forward way, knowing when to consult vs when to answer questions independently
Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities from inception to completion

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, business analytics or other related area of study from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience
Master’s degree or MBA
Seven years of progressively responsible professional experience and leadership in business analytics, proposal management, or project management
PMP or similar certification (PREFERRED)
Ability to communicate effectively in American Sign Language
