FIRST Robotics competition season opens with ‘Infinite Recharge’ Kick Off telecast on Jan. 4
Robotics teams from across “the galaxy” will be ready as FIRST Robotics opens its 2020 season with a kickoff event at 10 a.m. Jan. 4. More than 600 students, teachers and mentors will gather to participate in morning workshops and then view the kickoff telecast revealing the details of this year’s game.

Student project delivers solutions for Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence
Undergraduate students from RIT ROC-ed the Project during a local project management competition to increase awareness and volunteer services for Rochester’s M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence. Their solution, “The Common Source,” took top honors recently in the annual ROC the Project competition, a regional challenge for college students.

RIT gifted 177-acre estate to expand research, educational offerings
RIT will use a substantial gift of real estate in Penfield to expand the university’s research and educational offerings in ecology, agriculture, sustainability and other fields. Amy Leenhouts Tait and Robert C. Tait have gifted to the university their 177-acre property, which will be dedicated as the Tait Preserve of RIT.
