General Summary:
Ongoing recruitment for full-time instructional faculty teaching at Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) campus in Weihai, China. RIT delivers accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees at partner universities throughout Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East, creating unique opportunities for faculty interested in international research and travel in culturally rich environments.
Faculty positions are considered to be non-tenure-track instructors, subject to annual review with opportunity for continuation.
Faculty with expertise and teaching experience in the following disciplines may submit materials: Management Information Systems, Management, Marketing, English Literature, Writing.
The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Saunders College of Business and the Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) School of Economics and Management began its strategic international partnership in 2012. Recently celebrating its 120th year, BJTU is one of the three original Jiaotong universities. In 2015 RIT was BJTU's first international partner committed to delivering joint degree programs at its new Weihai location, and one of many renowned international partners offering graduate degrees and exchange partnership programs at the Beijing campus. The Weihai campus in the Weihai Nanhai New Area, recently constructed in 2007 as a key marine economic zone of Shandong Peninsula. Faculty will find a peaceful campus surrounded by wetlands, pine forests, hiking trails, and 12 km of golden sand beach. A short drive provides options to explore larger nearby cities such as Weihai City, Wendeng District, Rongcheng City, and Rushan City.
The language of instruction is English. Prospective faculty are required to have a minimum of a Master's Degree (Ph.D. strongly preferred) and demonstrate fluency in the English language. Business disciplines require AACSB qualified faculty. Cultural adaptability and the ability to work well within a multi-ethnic environment are valued attributes.
