American-Scandinavian Foundation Fellowship

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research, study or creative arts projects in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year.

Eligibility:

Must have completed undergraduate degree by time of project; team projects are eligible; Must have some language capability

Award Amount:

Offers up to $23,000 to support project-related costs, including maintenance, trans- Atlantic round-trip travel, in-country travel, tuition and fees (where applicable) and materials expenditures (e.g., books, photocopying, art supplies)..

Amgen Scholars

An 8 to 10-week summer research internship program for undergraduate students in science and biotechnology in Japan, China, or Singapore. Be matched with a research project according to your area of interest (biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, computer science, or a closely related field).

  • Conduct hands-on research in labs alongside top faculty and scientists in Asia that will set you apart as a leader in a globalized work environment.
  • Participate in engaging scienctific seminars, workshops and networking events.
  • No foreign language skills required - the working language will be in English.
  • Travel to Singapore for a symposium in August (travel, room and board included as part of program)

Airfare and accommodations covered (no cost for you), plus receive a monthly stipend to help cover additional living expenses.

Amy Lowell Poetry Traveling Scholarship
Any poet of American birth who is able and willing to spend one year outside the continent of North America. There is no age requirement, and there is no requirement that applicants be enrolled in a university or other education program. While many recent winners have been published poets, there is no requirement that applicants have previously published their work.

Anatolia College Fellowships
For more than eighteen years, Anatolia has been hosting recent US college and university graduates for an academic year long fellowship – living on campus and working with our students, faculty and staff. From teaching, mentoring, counselling, to doing institutional research, our Fellows have been involved with student life while they live their own unique experience in a country rich with history and opportunities to explore their own interests.

Arcadia Study Abroad

Approximately 70% of study abroad students who apply for aid from Arcadia receive some form of award. Typical awards are as follows:

  • Semester scholarship awards range between $500-2,500 with an average award of $1,400.
  • Summer scholarship awards range between $250-1,000 with an average award of $700.

You may still receive a scholarship from Arcadia even if you already receive aid from your home school.

ARIT American Research Fellowships
ARIT supports and administers programs of fellowships for scholarly research and for language study in Turkey. Programs for scholars and graduate students based in the U.S. and Canada include the ARIT, the ARIT National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship programs, and the ARIT Summer Language Program at Bo_azici University in Istanbul. ARIT Fellows come from all regions of North America and represent many fields of the humanities and social sciences. ARIT fellowships support individual research projects in ancient, historical, and modern times in all fields of the humanities and social sciences, that must be carried out in Turkey.

Asia Development Bank (ADB) Young Professionals Program
Young professionals (YPs) are offered a 3-year fixed-term appointment in ADB headquarters. YPs will be initially joining one of ADB’s operational departments and then assigned to another department/office as a rotational assignment for 12 months. During this period, YPs are expected to demonstrate competencies required for the positions. The work assignments enable them to further develop their expertise and broaden their perspective through exposure to various aspects of ADB work. YPs may participate in missions for activities in fact finding and appraisal, project review and completion, country programming, sector and policy studies, or disbursement.
